Dear Sir / Madam, Donors, and Well-Wishers,

Subject: Humble Appeal for Support — ₹20 Lakhs Project for Playground & Dining Hall Facilities

My name is K. Jithendra Kumar, and I have been intimately involved in the rehabilitation and specialized care of children with disabilities since 2006. Spandana Organisation was originally founded in 1996 with the noble purpose of serving the poor, bonded labour children, and disadvantaged communities. For many years, our collective life's work has been driven by one clear aim: to give disadvantaged and differently-abled children a safe, loving, caring, and dignified life.

Over the years, Spandana has supported and rehabilitated more than 100 children with different disabilities. We provide them with essential daily needs such as nutritious food, safe shelter, special education, physiotherapy, speech therapy, and personalized rehabilitation services tailored to their individual requirements.

Our Present Priority: Caring for Around 40 Parentless Children

At present, we are caring for around 40 children who are severely mentally challenged and, unfortunately, parentless. Most of these children require continuous assistance even with their most basic daily activities, such as bathing, brushing, dressing, eating, and grooming.

Because our rehabilitation centre is located in a small rural village, we operate with very limited financial and infrastructural resources. In spite of these constraints, we strive wholeheartedly to meet every need of these special children. We have appointed special educators and caregivers to train the children in essential daily living skills, guiding them to become as independent as humanly possible. We take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sushma garu for tirelessly shouldering the dedicated care and tasks for these children with boundless love and patience.

The Urgent Challenge: No Dining Hall & No Playground

While we are presently providing food, therapy, and essential daily living requirements, the organisation is urgently working to construct proper, permanent infrastructure for them.

Currently, the children have no dining hall and no playground — two facilities that are absolutely vital for their physical development, muscular therapy, recreation, mental happiness, and overall well-being.

To resolve this pressing challenge, we have already secured the necessary land measuring approximately 212 square yards, located directly adjacent to our existing school building.

The total project is estimated to cost approximately ₹20,00,000 (₹20 Lakhs). We now seek your kind and generous support towards the purchase and development of this land and the construction of a suitable playground, dining hall, and associated therapeutic facilities for these special children.

Even a small contribution from your side would make a profound and meaningful difference in the lives of these vulnerable children. Your support will directly help us provide them with a safe, caring, and dignified environment where they can learn, play, grow, and live with great happiness and independence.

"It is a great blessing for all of us to serve these special children. We sincerely request you to join us in this noble mission and support our efforts. We look forward to your kind consideration and generous support."

With Gratitude & Prayers,

K. Jithendra Kumar

Why This Facility is Essential

1. Dedicated Dining Hall

Children with severe cerebral palsy and developmental disabilities often struggle with swallowing, sitting postures, and self-feeding. A dedicated dining hall provides:

  • Hygienic, wheelchair-accessible seating designed for assisted feeding.
  • Dignified communal dining fostering bonding, social interaction, and routine.
  • Clean, safe storage for specialized nutritional supplements.

2. Safe Outdoor Playground

Recreational play is not a luxury — it is a clinical and emotional necessity for special children. The planned playground ensures:

  • Therapeutic sensory and motor equipment to build muscle strength and balance.
  • Safe, cushioned play surfaces preventing injuries for balance-impaired kids.
  • Fresh air, sunshine, and joyful recreation vital for mental health and wellness.
